About this contract
To carry out External painting to Derby City Council housing stock throughout the city of Derby managed by Derby Homes Ltd to also include Internal communal painting to common areas of stairwells and communal rooms across the City Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement. Derby Homes is an Arm’s Length Management Organisation owned by the Derby City Council. Derby Homes manage a portfolio of domestic housing stock currently standing at approximately 13,500 dwellings. The properties are owned by a number of different clients. Derby Homes has a policy of increasing its portfolio where it is able to do so. Both Derby Homes and Derby City Council have a goal of providing high quality domestic social housing within the City. Derby Homes also currently manage the maintenance of Derby City Council’s public buildings which include such buildings as libraries, schools, museums, art galleries along with other buildings for general public use. This contract is for the delivery of improvement, modernisation and new build work to the properties Derby Homes manage. It is the intention that Derby Homes will act as the Project Management for the delivery if individual projects under the terms of this contract and will employ the contractor on behalf of both Derby Homes and Derby City Council for the specific areas of work as required.
