About this contract

Provision of anti-racism training for children in Service Children's Education (SCE) for schools in Germany, Italy, Falkland Islands, Belgium, the Netherlands and Cyprus. Additional information: The SCE organisation would like to provide their children with a greater understanding of living and schooling in a multi-cultural society. Many children have lived in all parts of the world and now many are returning to UK and will require support with the transition in to UK's way of life. The requirement is to procure the services of a suitable Contractor to provide each child with an understanding of what racism is through a non-conventional classroom method and ensure that they understand the consequences of racism. The training will be required in various locations throughout Germany, Cyprus and the Rest of World (RoW) locations ie. Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands and the Falkland Islands. The Contractor is expected to train between 80 and 150 children in a series of workshops per day, during normal school hours, during term time using a balance of visual, auditory and kinaesthetic styles appealing to all learning styles, educating pupils about the causes and consequences of racism, empowering them to challenge racism in the communities in which they live. Help young people prepare to play an active role as citizens in an increasingly multicultural society, enabling them to develop good relationships and respect the differences between people, regardless of their ethnicity, faith, culture or nationality. Training in Cyprus must be carried out between 17 to 20 November 2015. Additional requirements for SCE schools in Germany (8), Belgium (1), Netherlands (1), Italy (1) and The Falkland Islands (1) will be required to be delivered until July 2018. Dates to be arranged with the Contractor. Although they will not be left alone with pupils, all Contractor's staff must be cleared to work with children. The Contractor must also comply with English Curriculum Standards ie Key Stage 2 Citizenship, Travel and accommodation will be booked and paid for by the Contractor except for the visit to the Falkland Islands where flights and accommodation will be organised and paid for by SCE. The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement, and the contract will be awarded on the basis of the most economically advantageous tender. Electronic Trading Potential suppliers must note the mandatory requirement for electronic trading using the Ministryof Defence's standard Purchase to Payment (P2P) system operating under the Defence Electronic Commerce Service, which shall be a special condition for the performance of this Contract. The Contractor shall be required to sign DEFFORM 30 (Electronic Transaction Agreements) and unconditionally accept DEFCON 5J (Unique Identifiers), DEFCON 129J (The Use of Electronic Business Delivery Form) ; and DEFCON 522J (Payment under P2P).
