About this contract
The Council is looking to appoint a suitably competent Supplier to construct a new parking scheme on Hamilton Road, Greenhill, Coalville Leicestershire LE67 4JD. The Supplier will be required to construct the new parking scheme and to have obtained beforehand all approvals and permits necessary to progress with the Works from Leicestershire County Council Highways Authority (LCC) and other relevant third parties on the Council's behalf. The Supplier will take on the role and responsibilities of Principal Contractor as defined by CDM Regulations 2015 for the duration of the project. The Supplier will also be required to provide consultancy services for the design and construction of similar district parking projects that may arise within 12 months of the contract commencement date. The budget for the delivery of the Hamilton Road Scheme is estimated as £80.000 with the value of other as yet undefined works in the region of £15,000. It is envisaged that award of the contract will be confirmed on 24th February 2017, with a requirement for Works to proceed as soon as possible after this date (subject to the necessary planning and LHA approvals) and no later than 9th June 2017. Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.
