About this contract
We are looking for a skilled and creative contractor who can demonstrate experience of delivering consultation, design and construction of inspiring children's play facilities. We will be awarding a contract for leading the design and construction of a new permanent play offer at Westonbirt, The National Arboretum. This will update our existing play offering to families and help to grow our family market. The successful contractor will engage with internal stakeholders, visitors and others to develop a scheme to reflect our vision in connecting people with the tree collection and encourage exploration of the wider arboretum. Bidders will be expected to demonstrate their approach and creativity in response to this brief. The design will need to be in keeping with the natural surroundings of the arboretum and be accessible to a wide range of visitor groups - please refer to the Scope for more information. Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.
