The ITN currently under development may make provision for the submission of variant bids Other additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.The Future Maritime Support Programme (FMSP) will underpin the success of the Royal Navy (RN) in supporting the Royal Navy's Complex Warships, Submarines and Naval Bases, by providing all: • Surface ships and submarine engineering support services; • Submarine deep maintenance; • Facilities management and other naval base services; and • Maritime logistics services. at the HM Naval Bases and associated Dockyards at Devonport, Clyde, Rosyth and Portsmouth. In 2014, the Authority placed two contracts with industrial partners, Babcock Marine (BM) and BAE Systems (BAES) for Naval Base, Ship, and Submarine outputs. These contracts form the Maritime Support Delivery Framework (MSDF) and are due to expire on 31 March 2020. Recognising the success of both MSDF, and its predecessor the Warship Support Modernisation Initiative (WSMI), in supporting the RN, after nearly 20 years it is timely for the Authority to review its current Naval Base services solution. The FMSP is the result of this review. The FMSP is a programme of work that will succeed and improve upon the MSDF contracts currently in place, commencing on 1 April 2020. FMSP will deliver additional transformational change, cost reductions (in the target of 30%) and an improved service for the RN. The contracting Authority considers that economic operators who are small or medium enterprises (SME's) could participate in this contract individually or through the partnership/collaboration with other SME's/Suppliers or as part of the Supply Chain to other Suppliers. The PQQ Supplementary Information on the Competition Site includes a contact list of Suppliers who participated in the FMSP Market Engagement phase which may be of assistance to SME's in this regard.
