About this contract

This piece of research plays an important role within the work that the UK government is undertaking, on how it will implement the regulations under the EU's updated Audiovisual Media Services Directive (AVMSD). This research will fill an evidence gap in one particular part of AVMSD, helping DCMS determine the likely number of video sharing platforms (such as YouTube, TikTok, Twitch) under UK jurisdiction, and to estimate the cost to business of the new regulations. Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.
