About this contract
This Invitation to Tender (ITT) has been established by the North East Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (NEAS). Its purpose is to invite proposals from suitably experienced, qualified and resourced providers of Patient Transport, Emergency Conveyance and Associated Services. This procurement process will look to establish a Framework Agreement subject to NHS Framework Terms & Conditions of Contract (Services) and will cover the provision of services across all NEAS operational areas, inclusive of: • Northumberland, • North Tyne, • South Tyne, • North Durham, • South Durham • Teesside The framework will be set out into 12 distinct Lots, each broken down further into sub-lots covering the above geographical areas. Providers are able and encouraged to bid for any/all of the lots or sub-lots they are capable of delivering. The framework shall be awarded for an initial three (3) years, with the option to extend for a further 12 month period. During the term of the framework NEAS will call-off required services to supplement scheduled and unscheduled demand. As such, NEAS wish to appoint a minimum of one provider per sub-lot to ensure continuity of provision, and will hold the option of appointing and retaining up to three providers in areas of highest demand.
