About this contract

The Council (the Lessee) requires a new or used (subject to a satisfactory condition survey) forklift truck, for non-highway use on hard level ground, at its Waste Transfer Station and Recycling & Household Waste Site at Whetstone. The Forklift Truck must: 1. Be diesel powered 2. Have a minimum lift capacity of 3500kg 3. Have Fork Height of approximately 4.5 metres 4. Have fork length of 1.2 metres 5. Be fitted with a 3600 Rotator with sideshifter 6. Be fitted with solid or foam filled tyres 7. Be capable of operating outside in all weathers 8. When delivered, have current LOLER Certificate or Declaration of Conformity if less than 1 year old. The above plant must be delivered to Whetstone Waste Transfer Station, LE8 6JL. The initial hire period shall be for a minimum period of 2 years, but the Council may wish to extend the hire period in 12-month periods up to a further 3 years (max 5-year total hire period). The estimated contract value is £30,000-£40,000. The maximum value of the contract spend however will be set at £50,000 to provide contingency for expenditure on chargeable repairs and replacements over the maximum period of the contract.
