About this contract
Floating Support Services provide a range of approaches to prevent homelessness for those most at risk with a range of vulnerabilities. This Contract is the result of a reconfiguration to maximise the levels of support available citywide whilst also incorporating a significant reduction in resources from the previous budget which funded a number of specialist and generic contracts. Following a nine month pilot focused on exploring the advantages of Tiered Support, a more 'generic' and flexible service model has been developed. The service model will fulfil three key functions: · Provide support to prevent homelessness for a range of client groups who have been identified as being particularly vulnerable to losing their home · Provide resettlement support to those who need additional support in establishing a home following a period of homelessness · Promote the health and wellbeing of service users, especially those with physical health, mental health and/or substance misuse issues Commissioning Intentions for Floating Support · To deliver a preventative offer for those in the city most vulnerable to becoming homeless · To move from a unit rate to an hourly rate for Floating Support · To promote independence and improve health and wellbeing · To introduce a neighbourhood model · To increase flexibility of support and maximise capacity through a Tiered Model · To introduce MainStay as the assessment and data system Please download PQQ for further detials Additional information: Please down load the PQQ document from the chest e-tendering portal
