About this contract
We are looking for an experienced finance professional - with significant experience at Financial Controller or Finance Director level - to support us with a review of a part of the business, including a possible disposals and re-organisation project. The contractor would lead on the Finance, Legal and Governance work stream of the project, reporting progress into the project manager and project sponsor. Project Crosskeys focuses on a research centre that requires additional funding and that we expect will face more competition for the service it provides being established in the next year or so. A possible plan is that some of the activity will be relocated to another similar site. This is a two-phase project. As part of phase 1, the individual will be required for circa 2 days per week for 4 months on average (this is likely to be front and back loaded). Timescales for phase 2 are more uncertain and will be agreed once significant progress has been made in phase 1. The individual will be expected to carry out the relevant parts of the project plan to the timescales set out in that plan. Feedback will be provided by project manager and project sponsor. We are looking for a senior, qualified finance professional with experience of disposals/ restructuring/ statutory accounts (plus ideally change management). The individual needs good operational management experience and good understanding of governance & company legal administration. Understanding of the public sector would be advantageous. Day rate range £500 to £650 / day We would like this service to commence a.s.a.p so the start date is flexible.
