About this contract

The aim of the project is to analyse and make recommendations for the logistics of two possible approaches to making producers more responsible for the packaging that they place on the market, (Extended Producer Responsibility). The research will be used, along with other considerations such as consultation responses, to inform the following: - The preferred operating model for packaging Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR); - The profile of producer fees and/or deposits that will be taken; - Other logistical aspects of the EPR scheme roll-out.
