About this contract

2. The Council wishes to invite quotes from an established event management company with a proven track record in event management specifically Cycling Events and spectator enhancements. To deliver the Start of the Men's U23 Individual Time Trial and the Start of the Elite Women's Tim Trail as part of the UCI Road World Championships On Tuesday 24th September 2019 as part of the UCI Road World Championships. This will be a one off contract to plan and produce an integrated event management plan for; • the starts of both Time Trial Events, • The Spector Hub within the Ripon City Centre Start Area, • Safety & Security, and • full Crowd Management planning for all elements of the event relating to the Time Trail Starts, and spectator Safety within the zone defined as Harrogate Borough Council Responsibility • the creation of a spectator Fan Zone, in the City Centre to retain spectators for the day. To Include but not limited to: • Big Screen - Race Coverage • Food and Drink Provision  Trading Opportunities  Family Orientated activities and Entertainments Harrogate Borough Council (HBC) wishes to exploit all Income Generation Opportunities in relation to this event and the Spectator Fan Zone.. The Council will provide a 70:30 split of the income to enable the successful bidder to retain 30% of all income achieved.
