About this contract
Fresh Start 4U is an innovative partnership project led by the Council which seeks to reduce re-offending rates amongst a cohort of offenders by improving their capacity to lead stable lives. The project is funded by CBMDC for two years until June 2017. The programme of support is expected to lead to a reduction in the level of crisis interventions by public services resulting in savings to the public purse. This will be achieved through a Demand Management approach- improving service users' ability to self help and to sustain their own future and reducing reliance on public services. The main focus of the programme is to achieve stability in people's lives through employability, which leads to sustained jobs and turns lives around. The employability programme will be supplemented by support and assistance to achieve housing stability and independence, help to improve health outcomes, and support provision to secure overall health and well being.
