About this contract

Hallam Way is located within West Hallam in Erewash Borough, Derbyshire. The properties are at risk of flooding from surface water and ordinary watercourses due to the surrounding topography. The properties are known to have flooded internally in 2012, with some affected in 2014. Prior to 2012 it is understood that a number of properties have been flooded on a number of occasions. The project aims to provide Property Level Flood Protection Measures to six (6) properties on Hallam Way reducing the risk of internal flooding from fluvial and pluvial water. To date the council have commissioned a consultant to undertake Property Level Flood Protection Reports on the six properties. The remit of these reports was to identify the measures needed to try and mitigate internal flooding of the dwellings. These reports form part of the. The purpose of this tender is to provide the measures identified in the survey reports. The contractor shall supply and install certified flood protection products. These products are typically: flood doors, flood barriers, air bricks and other works identified in the Property Level Flood Protection Report, as well as skimmer pumps and hoses. The installation works will require close liaison and the co-operation of the individual property owner/occupiers. Upon completion of the works, the contractor is required to provide training to the householder in the use of the flood protection equipment and provide employer with a completion certificate.
