About this contract
Replacement of circa 25,000 litres of hydraulic oil from the operating systems of three tidal barriers in the Thames Estuary, ensuring minimal downtime for the barriers which are critical flood defence assets, and safe disposal of the used oil. Additional information: The hydraulic oil at three large flood barriers at Benfleet and Pitsea in Essex is contaminated and requires replacing. The barriers protect people and property so the oil must be replaced with the minimum of downtime, this will require close co-operation with Environment Agency staff. The total quantity of oil for each of the three barriers is estimated at 8000 litres, and will be supplied FOC by the Environment Agency. A site visit will be provided at tender stage (early-June). In order to be invited to tender for this requirement, please register your interest on ProContract, www.sell2ea.com, by 12 noon on the 27th May 2016. You will need to be registered on ProContract and complete a two-stage process to register your interest.
