About this contract
Following Ely Museum being awarded a First Round Heritage Lottery Grant, the Museum are seeking to appoint an Architect Led Multi-Disciplined Design Team to develop the scheme to RIBA Stage 3 level of design development and work with the wider Team to submit a Second Round Heritage Lottery Fund Bid application. Subject to the scheme receiving a Second Round Heritage Lottery Fund award together with securing wider partnership funding and the performance of the Consultant during the development stage, the Consultant shall be retained for the delivery stage. In summary, the scheme includes the internal remodelling/ refurbishment of the Listed Old Gaol building together with the modification of the existing extension to form a two storey structure that will incorporate a new passenger lift to provide access to upper floor of the Old Goal. A contract for the Exhibition Fit-out of the Old Gaol will be managed by the separately appointed Exhibition Designer. The Architect lead Multi Discipline Design Team will cover the following roles: - Lead Designer, - Conservation Architect, - Structural Engineer, - Mechanical and Electrical Engineer, - Principal Designer - Access Consultant - Contract Administrator
