About this contract
We are looking for a suitably experienced contractor to carry out in-depth qualitative research with disabled people (with mental health conditions, learning disabilities, acquired brain injuries or neurodiverse conditions) who have experienced pre-trial proceedings as defendants in the criminal justice system. The findings from this research will feed into a wider inquiry examining the identification of disabled defendants' needs and the procedural and practical adjustments necessary to ensure that disabled people can participate equally and effectively in criminal proceedings against them in England and Wales. We welcome proposals from potential contractors for this project. The project will begin immediately after the award of the contract and is expected to be completed by May 2019. Further information about the project is contained in the project specification.
