However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement. The procurement of a drone demonstration and development contract will enable the MCA to assess the potential use of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) to augment current and future aerial surveillance capability by reducing, enhancing or replacing existing delivery methods. It will seek to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of MCA operations whilst reducing the risk to MCA personnel.
