About this contract

Complete the ecological reconnection of the River Aire for migratory fish (Atlantic salmon, sea trout and brown trout) from Leeds City Centre to Gargrave by designing and constructing four fish and eel passes on or near existing weirs. The project will offer industrial training placement for three Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) / engineering undergraduates through the fish pass construction as well as offering four construction apprenticeship training places.
