About this contract
1.1 The Wirral University Teaching Hospital (the "Authority") is issuing this invitation to tender ("ITT") in connection with the competitive procurement of Managed service contract for Direct Access to Diagnostics Services (Only for Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Ultrasound Scanning). WUTH currently provides 95% of Direct Access Diagnostic Imaging services across Wirral, with the remainder being provided by Any Qualified Providers (AQP), there are several AQPs active for the Wirral Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG). The current CCG contract is due to end March 2016 however the CCG has extended the contract until September 2016 to allow time for the tender process to take place for the new contract which will be for the period 1st October 2016 ? 30th September 2019 with an option to extend by a further two 12 month period (3 years plus 1 year + 1year). The new CCG service model is that of a Prime Provider Contract Model; whereby one single Provider will be responsible for the management of all aspects of Direct Access Diagnostic Imaging Services and their care pathways. WUTH is aiming to become the Prime Provider and enter into sub-contracting partnerships (only if WUTH wins the CCG contract) to deliver high quality Diagnostic Imaging Services across Wirral. Additional information: 1.5 The Authority is using the Due North (Procontract) e-tendering portal to conduct the procurement process ("the e-Tendering Portal"). The Trust will only accept and evaluate Tenders submitted via the Due North portal. 3.1 Bidders must submit their Tenders by completing the Annexes to Section B of the ITT. Completed Tenders must be submitted using the e-Tendering Portal. Bidders should ensure that they allow plenty of time to upload the Tender, particularly where there are large documents.
