About this contract
BEIS provided funding in 2018 to support capacity within LEPs and Local Authorities for local energy project development. Five Hub regions were established, covering the geography of England. The structure of this support is a central "Hub" within each region, hosted by one of the regional authorities, which: • acts as Accountable Body for that region's funding; • is the interface between central Government and regional actors, and; • employs staff within the Hub and across the regional geography to deliver the objectives of the programme. This capacity support builds on the funding already allocated to LEPs for energy strategy development. The five Local Energy Hubs support delivery of the priorities identified by the energy strategies by co-ordinating action among various public/private bodies, mobilising investment in energy projects and sharing best practice through knowledge exchange across the five Hub regions. Each of the five Local Energy Hubs is leading on the production of tools and guidance to support energy project development. The West of England Combined Authority, as the Accountable Body for the SW Energy Hub is seeking to develop a high-level, good practice guide to local energy for LEPs and Local Authorities, providing a single reference document to support action Additional information: Please submit all clarifications in writing through this Procurement Portal. In the interest of Transparency we will communicate the response to all clarifications received to all participating providers.
