About this contract
Winchester City Council is inviting tenders for the design, supply and installation of a children's play area at King George V Play Area, Winchester. The council are seeking a contractor to create a new, inclusive children's play area which will provide a safe and stimulating environment for children to play and learn. The opportunity is fully aligned to the commitment set out in the Council Plan to 'Living Well' and offer the right facilities to support good physical and mental health for all ages and abilities. The new play area will replace the existing one (which will be removed as part of the contract) and meet all current regulations and best practice. The Tenderer should also be mindful of the Council's commitment to reducing carbon dioxide emissions in terms of refurbishing equipment, recycling and minimising disposal. The maximum budget provision for this opportunity is: £115,000 and works are scheduled to start in February 2024. Tenderers are invited to submit one design response for the site and full landscape proposals are to be included.
