About this contract

The Black Country Click Start project is part of BIG Lottery’s ‘Building Better Opportunities Programme’ 2016 – 2019. It seeks to improve digital and financial inclusion, targeting groups who will be affected by the rollout of Universal Credit and other aspects of welfare reform, with progression routes into skills and employment. whg is the accountable body for the project partnership, which consists of all major social housing providers across the Black Country .The purpose of this tender process is to select a preferred Bidder for the development and delivery of digital and financial inclusion training curriculum in its entirety. The aim of this training is to help customers develop the skills to access online services. The content of the training course should include various aspects of every day digital usage. The required training will be a mixture of 1-2-1 and group training depending on the participant needs. It is expected that the majority of training will take place at a property owned by a member of the wider partnership or local community venue. You will need to work flexibly and recognise that this is an ambitious programme working to tight timescales. The contract will be delivered within the Black Country. Under the T&C set by the funders this contract is capped at £ 222,589.63 and the provider cannnot derive any profit in the delivery of the contract over the 3 years period. The total number of people fully registered on and supported through the programme should be 536 minimum and 644 maximum. Of the participants registered and supported on the programme: The winning contract will also be required to purchase IT hardware in support of the delivery of this contract. 50% should be men, 50% women 50% should be unemployed, 50% economically inactive 16% should be aged 50 or older 20% should be people with disabilities 28% should be people from ethnic minorities A person can be counted against more than one category. This Open tender is being advertised on the EU website and the Due North Portal https://procontract.due-north.com. This contract might be extended from 3 years, for a further 3 years subject to additional funding being provided.
