About this contract

Cornwall Airport Newquay is a regional airport owned by Cornwall Council (CC). CAL has managed the Airport since April 2007. It is responsible for all services at the Airport - these include air traffic control, fire and rescue, passenger handling, security, dispatch, airside services, air traffic engineering and maintenance, business and commercial, property management, training etc. CAL wishes to enter into a single 3 year contract with an option to extend for a further 2 years for a passenger Ground Transportation Service to and from Cornwall Airport Newquay. The Invitation To Tender is open to any type of ground transport services business so long as it is able to supply the required services and it has the relevant licences. CAL is a service business which is dependent upon customer perception and satisfaction. It is paramount that any services or business linked to Cornwall Airport Newquay create the right impression with customers. CAL is keen to ensure that the appointed company works in partnership and creates the correct and appropriate impression.
