About this contract
Copeland Borough Council is producing a new Local Plan for the period 2017-2035 and is currently updating its evidence base to support and inform this document. The Council is therefore seeking to appoint suitably qualified and experienced consultants to: • Carry out stage one of the Habitats Regulations Assessment process (screening assessment) to consider the likely significant effects of emerging policies and allocations on Natura 2000 sites. A HRA Scoping Report should be produced which outlines the methodology used and contains the results of the screening assessment. • Carry out an Appropriate Assessment of the emerging policies and allocations if the screening stage identifies likely significant effects. An Appropriate Assessment Report should be produced which outlines the methodology and results of the AA process and identifies appropriate mitigation measures where necessary. Further details are provided in the Invitation to Tender documents which will be made available upon registering an interest in this opportunity via The Chest Procurement Portal. All correspondence, clarifications and submissions must be made via The Chest. For support to use the Chest please contact Proactis Help Centre: https://supplierhelp.due-north.com/
