About this contract
ESFRS have awarded a contract to Draeger UK for the supply of new Respiratory Protective Equipment (RPE) and associated equipment. The inventory includes new Breathing Apparatus (BA) sets, telemetry boards and other operational associated equipment. This new equipment is fitted with rechargeable batteries and as such will require individual power supplies. This specification requirement is to fit the complete BA set and telemetry boards to the services fleet of operational pumping appliances. Additionally two operational technical rescues units and three support vehicles will require some upgrade work. To complete this work there is a need to electrically wire individual BA sets, and the telemetry board, to maintain battery power Vehicles to be fitted 43 (forty three) operational pumping appliances 2 (two) operational technical rescue units 3 (three) support vehicles will need some or all of the equipment fitting equipment fitted as a conversion to its already existing inventory of RPE. Our expectation is for the contract to deliver two vehicle conversions per week from the commencement of the award.
