About this contract
Stoke on Trent City Council is seeking to appoint a suitable supplier to operate and maintain the Hanford Energy Recovery Facility for a period of five years from 1 April 2025 with up to a two year possible extension. This opportunity is being published by Stoke on Trent City Council. The approximate value of the contract is £95,000,000 over a seven year period. As such the published value is £95,000,000. The following assumptions apply to the contract value - The value accounts for third party waste and power income as well as processing costs (gate fee) on up to 210,000 tonnes of waste per annum. - The Insurance costs applicable to this activity are excluded from the Authority payments and therefore contract value assumptions. It is currently assumed these will be paid separately by the Authority. Though the Authority reserves the right to ask the winning bidder to insure the plant on a pass through cost basis. -
