About this contract

NHS Hounslow Clinical Commissioning Group (the "Contracting Authority") is offering a contract to the successful Bidder to provide Community Dermatology Services. The Contracting Authority is seeking to commission a multidisciplinary consultant led community dermatology service (CDS) for the people registered with Hounslow GPs. This service is designed to provide a local, more accessible and cost effective service to patients. The following service outcomes are expected to be delivered by the service: a) Equitable access and treatment of dermatology patients presenting with dermatological problems within different levels of deprivation. b) Increased overall patient's satisfaction with dermatology services. c) Provides services close to patients' home and thus reducing travel time to attend appointments d) Improved communication between community, secondary and primary care service providers, specialist clinicians and Primary Care. e) Improved access to advice and information, increased knowledge and awareness of the management of dermatology for patients. f) Reduce waiting time for patients access to specialist care in the community. g) Improved health outcomes for patients with chronic skin conditions i.e. fewer exacerbation and less absence through illness h) Improved patient awareness and self-management of their own skin conditions i.e. more independent management of their own condition. i) Improved GP awareness of skin conditions, diagnosis and treatment j) Reduce the overall dermatology referrals by improving primary care education on skin conditions and empowering patients with self- management tools Additional information: Potential Bidders, intending to participate through the procurement process are now invited to register an interest and access the procurement documents (ITT, Service Specification, Bidder Instructions etc.) via the electronic procurement portal EU-Supply available at https://nhssbs.eu-supply.com.
