About this contract
The London Borough of Hackney is procuring a Design, Build, Operate, and Maintain (DBOM) contractor for the Colville Heat Network (CHN). This contract covers the design and construction of a low-carbon energy centre and heat distribution system, connecting over 1,300 homes, public buildings, and commercial spaces. The selected contractor will also operate and maintain the network for 15 years, with an optional 10-year extension. The CHN supports Hackney Council's net-zero carbon goals, aiming to reduce CO₂ emissions by approximately 100,000 tonnes over 40 years. The DBOM contractor will ensure compliance with planning, environmental, and performance standards, delivering efficient, sustainable, and affordable heat to the community.
