About this contract
We are looking for a supplier to organise and host a series of eight one day facilitated, interactive workshops aimed at non-medical healthcare professions eligible to apply to the HEE/NIHR Integrated Clinical Academic (ICA) programme i.e. registered nurses, midwives, Allied Health Professionals and Healthcare Scientists, and their managers aiming to: - Increase awareness of the importance of research in the evolving health and social care system - Increase awareness of clinical academic careers with particular focus on the ICA programme - Gain a clearer insight (more specifically from managers) into the barriers that prevent uptake of opportunities such as the ICA programme - Increase applications to all levels of the ICA programme. The supplier will be expected to: - Coordinate and host no fewer than eight workshops (one for potential applicants and one for managers in each of HEE’s four geographical footprints across England) - Develop content, resources (including promotional material, resources for using to support delivery of the event and evaluation materials) and identify relevant speakers/facilitators to achieve the aims set out above - Manage all aspects of administration for the workshops including maximising attendance using existing networks and beyond - Refine resources and content after the workshop series to stand alone on the HEE website - Coordination of post event follow up with participants to ascertain learning - Produce an evaluation report to capture the outcomes and learning from the workshop series - Prepare material for publication in relevant professional journals to promote the ICA programme. Your quote should also include all costs of hosting the workshops (including but not limited to AV, refreshments and travel expenses). The successful provider will be expected to have experience within the clinical academic field and an excellent understanding of the opportunities and barriers within this space. All activity should be completed by 31 March 2017.
