About this contract
Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council is looking to commission, by tender, a Central Co-ordinating Service able to deliver the Authority's vision for Peer to Peer support. Peer to Peer support services are a keystone of the Governments Family Hubs and Start for Life Programme and this service will contribute directly to the expansion of reach; extension of scope and enhancing of accessibility highlighted in that guidance: https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/1096786/Family_Hubs_and_Start_for_Life_programme_guide.pdf It will enable providers, who understand the context of Dudley Borough, to create the capacity and capability to deliver in aggregate the Peer to Peer support network described in the guidance. Delivery of the tender will be between September 2023 and 31st March 2025. The overall value of this tender will be £275,000 with a requirement that a minimum of 65% (£178,750) of this value must be used in grants to improve the capacity or capability of Peer to Peer Support Services and the balance will fund the co-ordination and development functions described within this document. The Authority seeks a high quality comprehensive network of peer to peer service to be available across the Authority area. This will require the successful bidder to undertake grant funding exercises with organisations that are well placed to deliver to families across Dudley Borough.
