About this contract

These services respond to the requirements of the Care Act 2014. The Act places new duties on the Local Authority and shifts the emphasis from providing services to promoting people's individual wellbeing. The services to be provided are: Independent Advocacy: that enables people to be involved in the decisions being made about them and the care and support they receive. The service will provide independent advocates that help people be active partners in the process of assessment, care and support planning and review including safeguarding where required. Information and Advice services: to be provided to everyone who needs them regardless of whether or not they have eligible care needs. These services should provide information in a range of areas including but not limited to: types of care and support available; processes local people need to use to get care and support; where independent financial advice is available; how to raise concerns about the safety or wellbeing of someone who has care and support needs. Carers services: to support the promotion of the well-being of Carers. Services should promote wellbeing by providing a range of services including but not limited to: counselling, employment support, support to maintain personal wellbeing, medication support and training, moving and handling courses, keeping healthy, getting active etc. Please apply through the london tenders portal www.londontenders.org
