About this contract
Border Force (BF) is a Directorate of the Home Office. BF operate a fleet of five (5) Cutters. One of these Cutters, HMC Valiant (4207 Class), has a requirement for a period of dry docking to include; Loadline Inspection and some general maintenance. The full package of works required is detailed in the attached Statement of Requirements (SoR) - C17680 - SoR - HMC Valiant - LLID - vf. Following this sourcing exercise based on written quotation, this contract will commence on the 16th March 2020. Upon successful acceptance of HMC Valiant by the supplier, the work package is required to be undertaken between 16th March 2020 and 6th April 2020 in line with the Cutters' operational working pattern. It is a critical requirement that this package is to be undertaken in the following geographic area; 1. Europe (Eastern Mediterranean) - Pireas, Perama or Salamina, Greece. Bidders are required to submit their written quotations in both .pdf and .docx formats. The purpose of this notice is to make the SoR available to, and invite, potential suppliers to confirm they can fully meet the requirements by providing a fully itemised written quotation for the complete and specified work package. The quotation is to be submitted in currency, EURO. Those potential suppliers are invited to send an email to; Ian McDermott, Home Office Commercial at Ian.Mcdermott@homeoffice.gov.uk , confirming their interest in this opportunity, providing the itemised quotation, in addition to confirmation of yard availability over the stated dates. Furthermore, confirmation of agreement to the Home Office Standard Short Form Services Terms and Conditions (C17680 - T&Cs - HMC Valiant - LLID) on which the contract will be awarded is required. Quotations should also be accompanied by a Cardinal Date Plan (CDP) as stated in the SoR, section 5.6.
