About this contract

Border Force (BF) is a Directorate of the Home Office. BF operate a fleet of five (5) Cutters - four (4) 4207 Class and one (1) Telka Class. BF have a requirement to install a PLECDIS system on each of the five (5) vessels. The full package of works required is detailed in the attached Statement of Requirements (SoR) - C14856 - PLECDIS - Cutter Fleet - SoR - vf2. Following this sourcing exercise based on written quotation, this contract will commence on or around the 1st February 2020 (dependant on Cutter operational working patterns). The work package is required to be undertaken between 1st February 2020 and 31st March 2020 in line with the Cutters' operational working pattern. The package is to be undertaken in both UK (four (4) vessels) and Aegean/Mediterranean (one (1) vessel) waters. Bidders are required to submit their written quotations in both .pdf and .docx formats. There is no ability for this requirement to be split into lots. The purpose of this notice is to make the SoR available to, and invite, potential suppliers to confirm they can fully meet the requirements by providing a fully itemised written quotation for the complete and specified work package. The quotation is to be submitted in the following currency; GBP. Those potential suppliers are invited to send an email to; Ian McDermott, Home Office Commercial at Ian.Mcdermott@homeoffice.gov.uk , confirming their interest in this opportunity, providing the itemised quotation, in addition to confirmation of yard availability on the stated dates. Furthermore, confirmation of agreement to the Home Office Standard Short Form Services Terms and Conditions (C14856 - T&Cs - PLECDIS - Cutter Fleet) on which the contract will be awarded is required. Quotations should also be accompanied by a proposed installation mobilisation plan. All required documentation should be submitted via email to Ian McDermott, at the address above, no later than: 1200hrs GMT, Wednesday 29th January 2020. Additional information: The successful bidder will be required to liaise with the Maritime, Technical and Logistics (MTL) Unit in order to finalise installation plan post award.
