About this contract
The aim of the 'Green Belt Selective Review' will be to undertake an objective, evidence-based assessment to strategically assess the performance of Green Belt parcels against the five purposes of Green Belt. The successful consultant will be required to produce a robust assessment of Green Belt parcels, using a clear methodology and conducted in a logical, consistent and accurate manner. The reporting will need to clear with the final outputs subject to scrutiny and public examination. The Council considers that there are a series of distinct stages to the Green Belt Selective Review, starting with the development of a comprehensive methodology (Part One) and then the formal establishment and review of a set of Green Belt parcels (Part Two). In some instances, Green Belt reviews also include additional elements, including an assessment of the potential impact of allocations on the Green Belt (Part Three) and the finalisation of Green Belt boundaries and areas for enhancement (Part Four). This commission is only concerned with Parts One and Two of the Green Belt Selective Review. Please note, the deadline to submit the tender is 5 pm on 18/04/2019.
