About this contract

The National Lottery Community Fund (the Community Fund) has an international funding programme targeting funding to enable disabled people to improve their livelihoods in Uganda and Tanzania (including Zanzibar). £6-10 million per year is available for this programme which is expected to run until 2021 and beyond. A range of UK-based International Non-Governmental Organisations (INGOs) are funded to work with local partners in these countries in pursuit of these outcomes over the life of the programme. To date a total of £9.2m has been awarded to 23 projects through 17 UK-based organisations, working with 24 local partners. A pipeline of applicant organisations is currently going through the assessment process, some of which have been awarded development funding.
