About this contract

South Gloucestershire Council invites tenders from contractors to collect and dispose of asbestos waste. It is anticipated that this will be from three Household Waste Recycling Centres. Initial contract length is 36 months. Asbestos Waste collected from a site and the subsequent disposal is governed by the Hazardous Waste (England and Wales) Regulations 2005. Producers or holders of bonded asbestos (including cement or resin bonded products) shall consign the waste in accordance with the Hazardous Waste Regulations 2005.
