About this contract
Copeland Borough Council are seeking to appoint a Public Art Curator on a contract for services basis. The role will involve the establishment of a Coastal Art Trail and the development of a broader strategy for Public Art across the borough. The art project is one element of The Connecting Cumbria's Hidden Coast (CCHC) Programme, funded by Coastal Communities Fund, and Sellafield Ltd in which the Council are working with partners to develop a series of Public Art installations along the coast between Whitehaven and Millom. The "Art Trail" will be: • Linked to and add value and cultural interest to the Coastal Challenge Route, which is also being developed as part of the CCHC programme. • An initial Art project, which provides a catalyst for a broader public arts strategy in the Borough the development of which will be an integral part of the curator's role.Further details are provided in the Invitation to Tender documents which will be made available upon registering an interest in this opportunity via The Chest Procurement Portal.
