About this contract

HSE is inviting organisations to provide offers for an Acoustic Test Fixture Manikin Head which is required for the following types of work: o Testing of all types of hearing protector including both active and passive circumaural types and plugs o Measurements of hearing protection afforded by other head gear, for example police riot helmets, or firefighters breathing apparatus o Measurements of the interference with alarms and warning sounds caused by helmets and other headgear o Measurements of high direct sound pressure levels up to 170 dB for testing the performance of hearing protection at high noise levels.
