About this contract

SCDC are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced contractor to operate the 24 hour alarm call monitoring service across the 43 sheltered schemes. SCDC also have a community lifeline service for the wider district. There are currently a) The number of units that need monitoring is currently changing daily as residents make informed choices about whether to have a lifeline unit or not. The current estimate is 1,000 but we will provide a more accurate figure once all the hardwired systems are disabled. b) 940 dispersed community lifelines that require monitoring. SCDC have used the services of lone worker monitoring in the past, and for the purposes of this tender require a price for a lone worker call monitoring service. The use of this service to be decided at a later date at the discretion of SCDC. Due to the value of this contract SCDC are tendering this contract via an Open Tendering Process under the Public Contracts Regulations 2015. The contract is for a period of 3 year contract with the option to extend for each and every year up for a further 2 years (5 year term in total). Value in this noted is the estimated range over the 5 year term assuming our optional partner Cambridge City Council decides to take up the option to use this contract.
