About this contract

A Better Start Southend (ABSS) is seeking to commission a Volunteer Home Visiting Service (the Service) that will provide emotional and practical support and guidance to parents of young families, who are struggling with the demands of family life. The Delivery Partner will train volunteers to visit families in their home who have needs identified at universal or universal partnership level. Support will be offered to families struggling with a range of issues including but not limited to: • Isolation • Single parenthood • Bereavement • Multiple births • Disability, mental or physical ill health • Those experiencing other deprivation or multiple deprivation factors. The term of the contract will be 27 months with an option to extend for up to a further 2 years, in twelve month blocks or any part thereof. The contract start date will be January 2020.
