About this contract

HSE SD currently has a corrosion chamber, which is no longer fit for purpose. It was bought in 2000, and pre dates machines with data connections making it incompatible with IT systems. In addition the current chamber was designed to perform one specific function, which means it has to be adapted each time work is undertaken, making it inefficient and resource intensive. As there is a significant level of work in this area, HSE need to replace the existing chamber for another which is compatible with modern IT and covers the range of work undertaken.
