About this contract

In Bexley obesity has been identified as a key priority in the Health and Wellbeing Strategy and Joint Strategic Needs Assessment. Its strategic outcomes are to reduce the prevalence of obesity and support a reduction in health inequalities by ensuring resources are targeted to disadvantaged communities. The London Borough of Bexley is carrying out an open tender process to appoint up to 2 providers to deliver its tier 2 Adult Weight Management programme which supports overweight and obese adults to lose weight and learn how to maintain a healthier weight and lifestyle. Access to the programme is by referral. The Council is looking at provider(s) to provide the service from a number of locations throughout the borough. The programme will run over a 12 week period.
