About this contract

The University of Sheffield is out to tender on behalf of the Department of Estates and Facilities Management for the refurbishment of two WC areas. Scope of Requirement: The project comprises the refurbishment of WC areas throughout two buildings within the University of Sheffield's campus: Broad Lane Building, Broad Lane, Sheffield S1 4BT, and Portobello Centre, 1 Mappin St, Sheffield S1 4DT. The proposed works are to comprise the following: ⦁ M&E works to be carried out in accordance with A&P specifications. To include isolation of water supply and M&E services, and the removal and disposal of existing light fittings and hand dryers. ⦁ Strip-out and disposal of existing sanitary ware, including vanity units, IPS paneling, cubicles, basins, urinals, toilets, hand dryers and all other associated fixtures, fittings and pipework. ⦁ The careful removal and disposal of floor tiles, wall tiles and suspended ceilings. ⦁ The partial removal and disposal of solid masonry walls. ⦁ Making good and levelling of all disturbed surfaces associated with the strip-out. ⦁ The installation of new sanitary ware including vanity units, IPS panelling, cubicles, basins, urinals, toilets, hand dryers and all other associated fixtures, fittings and pipework. All M&E components are to be installed in accordance with A&P specifications. ⦁ The installation of new vinyl flooring, vinyl coved skirting and suspended ceilings, and thorough redecoration. To include the construction of new bulkheads, boxings, plasterboard partitions and tiled splash backs where specified. *Please note the above list is not exhaustive.
