About this contract
Eastleigh Borough Council is seeking to redevelop the Queens View site in Netley, Southampton. The Council is the freehold owner of this mixed-use property, currently consisting of 2 first floor residential flats, 2 ground floor commercial units and associated garaging, estimated to have been constructed in the 1960s. This project derives from the planning recommendation (Ref: F/23/96224) for the Queens View redevelopment, and comprises of the demolition of the existing building and the design and build of a part 3-storey, part 2-storey building to provide 18 residential flats and a ground floor retail unit, to include vehicle access, parking, landscaping and footpath access to the recreation ground. This ITT has been prepared by Eastleigh Borough Council (the "Council") for the purposes of inviting contractors with the appropriate skills, experience, procedures and financial standing to submit a tender for the design and construction of the Queens View redevelopment as more particularly described below. Tenderers are encouraged to review the supporting information provided before submitting a tender, to fully acquaint themselves with the full nature and extent of the works required. The opportunity will be tendered in two stages: • Stage 1: Expression of Interest (EOI) consisting of a self-selection questionnaire and Technical Envelope (see Part 3 for details). Tenders will be evaluated and a maximum of 5 contractors invited to stage 2. • Stage 2: Full Tender - Issue of full Employers Requirements for contractors to prepare contractors proposals and priced schedule of works. This ITT forms stage 1 of the tender process.
