About this contract
We have a statutory duty to secure education for all children up to the age of 18. (25 with an EHC plan). The local authority has currently 25-30 children out of school and this picture has been constant throughout the year. The majority of children requiring educational placements are children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) problems and present with severe behavioural needs. We are seeking a provider of education who can provide: • Educational provision for children aged 9-16 years who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) and behavioural issues. • Who will deliver the full-time education to children aged 9-16 years, with access to flexible learning options and that can also provide links into further training, education or employment opportunities post 16 years. The purpose of the school would be to deliver a curriculum which covers a broad range of subject disciplines, delivered through teaching that will enable all pupils to make good progress according to their abilities, and that such progress is properly assessed as part of a continuous process which feeds back into lessons.
