About this contract
The University of Wolverhampton holds the Aspire to HE, National Collaborative Outreach Programme (NCOP) contract with the Office for Students which funds the NCOP programme - 'the Project' or 'Programme'. 'Aspire to HE' is a partner-based consortium which will deliver sustained, progressive, intensive outreach activity to targeted cohorts of learners (years 9 to 13) in identified Wards to increase the numbers of students from disadvantaged backgrounds entering Higher Education (HE). The measure of success is the progression of young people onto courses of prescribed Higher Education. The key aim is to increase the rate of young participation in HE in the target Wards: 'young participation' is defined as the proportion of the cohort that enters HE at both 18 and 19 years of age. Provision Requirement An external party is required to oversee the evaluation of the Aspire to HE NCOP project over the 2019/2020 What is the Aspire to HE Programme for 19/20 - Aspire to HE will be working with 39 Schools in 19/20, and 7 Partner Colleges. Aspire to HE's programme is based on their progression framework, so every activity should link to specific outcomes. The contract will commence 1st august 2019 and delivery of the Contract must be completed by 31st July 2020. There are a number of Mandatory Requirements (see below) as part of this tender process, Tenderers must have/meet all mandatory requirements in order to bid for this tender. These are detailed in the Scoring Methodology documentation and are scored on a Pass/Fail basis. -Tenderers must have a turnover in excess of £50K per annum -You must have experience in evaluation report writing measured against a service outcome -You must have experience of training staff and working with parents and young people -You must have experience of working in widening participation either Outreach or Access to HE -You must have experience of designing and implementing evaluation tools for young people ranging from year 9 - year 13 -All staff working in a school must have Enhanced DBS in place before the contract begins - cost to be covered by the tenderer, confirm acceptance. -Safeguarding - You must comply with the national safeguarding policies and protocols, such as DofE Keeping Children Safe in Education and all staff must have attended Safeguarding training within the last year -You must be able to provide a single point of contact for Contract Management The Tender documents can be found at https://wlv.bravosolution.co.uk
