About this contract

The Council is seeking competitive Tenders from suitably qualified tenderers with a view to establishing a contract with a single contractor for the provision of commercial waste disposal and re-cycling services to a portion of its corporate portfolio. The contractor will provide and manage the Council's waste collection service through regular collections from the Council's buildings in Tamworth by consolidating its commercial waste disposal into a single Service provision consisting of the following elements: a. The secure collection and destruction of confidential paper waste; b. The collection and disposal of general commercial refuse, and c. The collection and recycling of mixed refuse including but not necessarily limited to paper, cardboard, glass, plastic and tin.
