About this contract
De Montfort University has a requirement to purchase an IT service desk service to supplement DMU's service desk. The purpose of the additional service is to: 1. enable effective out of hours IT support to staff and students of the University; 2. act as cover for the service desk during departmental meetings during core hours; 3. act, if required, as an overflow for the ITMS Service Desk at peak times of the year or during exceptional circumstanced e.g. high levels of sickness on the service desk. The service will be used for providing 1st line IT support and where necessary, escalating incidents to other IT support teams. Additionally, DMU is also ideally looking for the supplier to provide a desktop IT cover support service to provide additional project or support capability in respect of the installation of: 1. PCs, and 2. Servers and storage. Full details of the requirements are set out in the Tender documents.
